- Describe what you see. (click on the picture to see it larger) I see a women, in graveyard, sitting down in something and it loks lke there is a abandon building behind her
- What moods or feelings are expressed in this photograph? How are they conveyed? the mood of this picture is sorrowful because she in a graveyard and it is gloomy and raining.
- What do you think this work is about? Why? Does the title of the piece give you any clues? i think it is the mother of David Hockens going to graveyard to go see a relatives or someone important to her that passed away.
- What do you know to be true? What assumptions might you have made? Are there clues in the image that suggest when and where this photograph might have been made? Describe. I know that she is in a graveyard. She is probably visiting someone important to her that passed away. Well the clues is the abandond building behind her and the tombstones. and how she is looking at something on the ground.
- Can you tell how the photographer feels about this subject? If so, how? I think that the photographer feels sad because if someone very important passed away of his mom it could be important to him aswell.
- What can you tell about how this image was made? Consider the techniques and visual strategies used by the artist such as use of light, time of day, vantage point, focus, framing and composition, etc. He used the time of day when it was gloomy and cloudy. He also the focus point not in the middle but on the side the lighting is the light outside so it could look gloomy to expree the mood.
